Welcome to my blog about the Staff Mobility Week 2011 at the University of Bergen, Norway. I am really excited to be taking part and have created this blog so I can share my experiences with people while I'm away. Please feel free to contribute to the blog by commenting on my posts.
The Staff Mobility Week is held each year. Staff working within libraries, human resources, and research and student administration at European universities are invited to attend. A programme of activities is arranged for the week; those for the library section include discussions on information literacy and institutional repositories, and visits to departments within the University of Bergen Library. At the heart of the programme is the opportunity to make new friends, share best practices, and develop networks between universities.
Please visit the University of Bergen website for more information, which has a detailed programme of the week's events: http://www.uib.no/international/mobility/administrative-staff/staff-mobility-week/staff-mobility-week-2011
Hi Claire, I hope you have a great time. If you go to any of the information literacy discussions you might like to know about the new SCONUL Seven Pillars of information literacy model which was launched at LILAC in April this year. You'll find it on the website. I'd be interested to know how people are reacting to it. Moira
ReplyDeleteThanks Moira, we will be having an information literacy day on Thursday, so I will definitely ask others in the group whether this model is being used at their libraries and their experiences of it. Claire
